About Nepal Nostalgia
Nepal Nostalgia keeps the memories of people who came to Nepal before the year 2000: Peace Corps volunteers, travellers on the Hippie Trail, early trekkers and tourists. Many of them are still alive, and their stories are fading.
How the articles are made
Each article is a composite account. It is compiled, with the help of an AI writing tool, from many people's recollections shared in public community discussions, and then read and published by the editor. It does not speak for any one person.
- We do not publish the names or profile links of the people whose comments were used.
- We do not copy comments word for word or print long quotations.
- We try not to add facts that were not in the discussions. Memories are personal and can differ from other accounts or from records, so please check details before relying on them.
- Where we use a photograph, we credit its owner.

If you recognise your own words, your photograph or yourself in an article, or you simply want something changed, write to editor@nepalnostalgia.com. We will remove or correct it within 7 days, and you do not need to give a reason.
